What is the difference between a sitter and a CNA or HHA?

Sitters cannot provide "hands on care".

What is "hands on care"?

"Hands on care" consists of assisting with these activities: transferring, bathing, dressing, assisting to the toilet, personal hygiene, and feeding (generally, those who are physically disabled and/or need physical assistance, should be referred to the CNA/HHA level of care).

What does CNA and HHA stand for?

CNA is Certified Nursing Assistant and HHA is Home Health Aid. Both are qualified to provide "hands on care". Neither are qualified to provide "skilled care".

What is "skilled care"?

killed care refers to licensed nursing care and/or therapeutic services, i.e. RNs, LPNs, physical therapy, speech or occupational therapy.
